Aquanet pool algaecides are the most effective solution to eliminate and prevent the appearance of algae in the water. Algae not only affects the appearance of the pool, but also deteriorates the water quality and can damage filtration systems.
At Aquanet we offer a specialized line of anti-algae treatments formulated to act quickly and lastingly. Our algaecides are designed to adapt to different needs: preventive maintenance, shock treatments and systems with salt chlorination.
Advantages of Aquanet algaecides:
Our goal is to offer you algaecides that ensure optimal water quality, without health risks or proliferation of microorganisms, at any time of the year.
For effective use of the algaecide, it is essential to apply the product with a clean pool and balanced pH levels (between 7.2 and 7.6). It is recommended to distribute the algaecide evenly around the perimeter of the pool and keep the purifier running for at least 6-8 hours. There are maintenance and shock treatments, depending on the level of algae present.
The standard dose of algaecide varies depending on the product, but generally between 1 and 2 ml per liter of water is applied for shock treatments, or 0.5 to 1 ml/liter for maintenance. In large pools, it is more common to calculate it per cubic meter. Always check the Aquanet product label to apply the exact amount.
As a general rule, algaecide is applied once a week during the months of heavy use (spring and summer). In winter or when the pool is not in use, you can space out the application or use a combination winterizer. The frequency also depends on factors such as water temperature, sun exposure, and pool use.
Too much algaecide can cause foaming in the water, eye irritation, or upsetting the chemical balance of the water. In severe cases, it can also interfere with other treatments such as chlorine. If you have exceeded it, it is advisable to dilute the water partially and make a pH adjustment. To avoid errors, use Aquanet products with clear dosing instructions.
